In The Hitchhiker, a man drives cross-country from Brooklyn to California. On the morning he leaves, he sees a man on the Brooklyn Bridge, waiting for a lift. Later he sees him hitchhiking at the Pulaski Skyway. As he progresses towards his destination he repeatedly sees the same hitchhiker, despite the fact that, logically, there is no possible way the mysterious man could always somehow get ahead of him!

In Mr. Markham, Antique Dealer, we have a blackmailer, a murderer, and a room full of clocks, one of which talks! Who is actually murdered, and who is the murderer?
