Israeli clarinetist Itay Dayan and his band (Paul July Joseph, percussion; Nick Isherwood, bass; Nadav Brenner, guitar) arrive at the Grange to present a program of traditional and original music. Varied and flexible, they perform traditional Eastern European Jewish music (klezmer) as well as Yiddish songs, and songs in Hebrew influenced by Middle Eastern popular music. The group weaves together various influences, creating a sound that cherishes tradition while exploring new musical frontiers. Made possible in part by The Ackerman Foundation, Inc. Tickets $20 at the door (or pay what you can).
